SMT’s Hydra TAVR System Launched in Hungary

November 26, 2024—Sahajanand Medical Technology Pvt Ltd (SMT) announced the launch of its Hydra transcatheter aortic valve replacement/implantation (TAVR/TAVI) system in Hungary. The device is now available in more than 20 countries.

The initial procedures with the device in the country were performed at Szegedi Tudományegyetem Szent-Györgyi Albert Klinikai Központ in Szeged, Hungary. Under the leadership Hungary of Ruzsa Zoltán, MD, and Szücsborús Tamás, MD, the Hydra system has demonstrated positive initial outcomes, stated the company.

“Hydra’s precision in implantation is essential to patient safety and treatment efficacy,” commented Dr. Ruzsa in SMT’s press release. “Our initial experience with Hydra has been very promising, supporting our goal to deliver advanced, effective care.”
