Philips VeriSight Pro 3D ICE Launched in Europe

May 19, 2025—Royal Philips announced the introduction of its VeriSight Pro three-dimensional (3D) intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) catheter in Europe.

According to the company, VeriSight Pro is designed for procedures such as transcatheter valve repair and left atrial appendage closure to provide real-time high-resolution two-dimensional and 3D visualization directly within the heart chambers.

Philips advised that it will highlight the VeriSight Pro ICE and its role in structural heart interventions during sessions at the EuroPCR 2025 conference held May 20-23 in Paris, France.

Professor Jörg Hausleiter, MD, from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany, commented on the device in Philips’ press release.

“With VeriSight Pro 3D ICE, we now have the ability to see detailed cardiac anatomy from inside the heart in real time. This helps streamline our workflows and makes complex procedures more accessible to patients who may not tolerate more invasive imaging approaches.”

As described in Philips’ press release, the VeriSight Pro miniaturized ultrasound probe is approximately 3 mm in diameter. It is embedded at the tip of a thin, steerable catheter that can be navigated through the vascular system and into the heart chambers.

The catheter’s features include the xPlane and iRotate technologies that allow physicians to visualize two imaging planes simultaneously and digitally adjust views without physically repositioning the catheter tip. In addition, VeriSight Pro integrates with Philips’ Epiq ultrasound systems, which in turn integrate with the Azurion image-guided therapy platform, stated the company.
