SCAI Publishes CCL Radiation Safety Program Principles

January 19, 2011—The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) published guiding principles and best practices for the development of radiation safety programs in cardiac catheterization laboratories drafted by Charles E. Chambers, MD, et al. The document was published online ahead of print in Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions.

SCAI Mullins Lecture to Focus on Stenting for Congenital Heart Disease

April 28, 2010—The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) announced that John W. Moore, MD, will deliver the Mullins Lecture at the 33rd annual SCAI scientific sessions to be held May 5 through 8 in San Diego, California. Dr. Moore is the Director of Cardiology at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego and is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. The keynote lecture was named in honor of Charles E. Mullins, MD, FSCAI, who pioneered the use of stenting and other interventional procedures in pediatric cardiology.

May 6, 2015—The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions announced that “SCAI Core Curriculum for Adult and Pediatric Interventional Fellowship Training in Continuous Quality Assessment and Improvement,” was released at the SCAI 2015 Scientific Sessions being held May 6–9 in San Diego, California, and published online in Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions.
