Volcano Launches Three Products at TCT 2010

September 21, 2010—Volcano Corporation (San Diego, CA) announced that the company will launch the Eagle Eye Platinum, PrimeWire Prestige, and the s5/s5i 3.2.1 software at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics scientific symposium held in Washington, DC, from September 21 to 25, 2010.

According to the company, the three products, which are all available for sale in the United States and Europe, are designed to allow for faster and easier fractional flow reserve (FFR) and intravascular imaging.

The Eagle Eye Platinum is an optimization of the company's digital intravascular ultrasound catheter. It is designed for improved deliverability with the convenience of radiopaque markers for fast, simple length estimation. The PrimeWire Prestige is Volcano's next generation FFR wire with a familiar frontline tip, better torque, and more support for challenging lesions. The s5/s5i 3.2.1 software streamlines the workflow for both intravascular ultrasound and FFR procedures.
