Toshiba Launches Infinix Essential X-Ray System for Cardiac Interventions
July 7, 2014—Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. announced the launch of the Infinix Essential x-ray system for interventional cardiac procedures.
According to Toshiba, the Infinix Essential system features Toshiba’s WorkRite technology and the company’s slim, off-center C-arm design that allows steep angulations for optimized vessel profiling during cardiac interventions. The system allows for facilities to add advanced features as their capabilities increase to perform procedures such as TAVR or left atrial appendage closures.
Infinix Essential is available with a comprehensive set of dose management optimizing tools, including spot fluoroscopy, a dose tracking system, and advanced image processing, which are intended to provide the highest image quality at the lowest possible dose.
Additionally, the company advised that it is repositioning its line of existing cardiovascular x-ray systems to meet the needs of providers during health care reform. Toshiba’s Infinix Select is a shared lab solution with two differently sized, independent flat panel detectors that can perform a range of both simple and sophisticated cardiac and vascular procedures. For a full cardiovascular lab to conduct the most advanced procedures, the Infinix Elite is available in multiple configurations with Toshiba’s five-axis C-arm that provides head-to-toe and fingertip-to-fingertip coverage. These systems are available with Toshiba’s dose reduction technologies along with a software upgrade for improved and expanded imaging applications that was recently cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration.
