SCAI Bestows Master Interventionalists Designation on 10 Cardiologists

May 10, 2022—The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (SCAI) announced the designations of its 2022 Master Interventionalists of SCAI (MSCAI). The MSCAI recipients will be formally recognized on May 21 during the SCAI 2022 Scientific Sessions held May 19-22 in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to the society, the MSCAI designation is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated excellence in invasive/interventional cardiology throughout their career and for their commitment to the highest levels of clinical care, innovation, publication, and teaching.

This year’s 10 MSCAI designations were awarded to the following outstanding interventionalists:

• Deepak L. Bhatt, MD
• Joaquin E. Cigarroa, MD
• Thomas Fagan, MD
• Marc Feldman, MD
• Tim Fischell, MD
• C. Michael Gibson, MD
• Dean J. Kereiakes, MD
• Ahmed Magdy, MD
• Oscar Mendiz, MD
• Michael Savage, MD
