Reflow Medical Expands With New European Subsidiary

March 6, 2025—Reflow Medical, Inc., which is headquartered in San Clemente, California, announced the opening of its European subsidiary in Landsberg am Lech, Germany. The company stated that this strategic expansion is intended to strengthen the company’s international presence and its ability to serve markets outside the United States.

According to the company, the European subsidiary—Reflow Medical Europe GmbH—will focus on establishing direct sales channels and forging strategic distribution partnerships across multiple regions. The subsidiary is led by Senior Vice President and General Manager Knut Sauerteig.

In the press release, Sauerteig highlighted the company’s ambitions, stating, “Our team is committed to driving growth across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region. In the coming years, we will continue to expand our presence by building direct sales organizations and strengthening distribution partnerships to better serve the needs of health care providers and patients.”

According to Reflow Medical, its portfolio includes the CoraCatheters line of coronary microcatheters for crossing complex lesions, which is available only in the United States. Its peripheral catheters that are available in the United States and Europe include the Wingman chronic total occlusion crossing catheter and the Spex and Spex LP shapeable support microcatheters.

Additionally, the Spur peripheral retrievable scaffold system has been granted CE Mark approval for the treatment of restenotic lesions in below-the-knee arteries when used in conjunction with a commercially available drug-coated balloon. The Spur system is an investigational device in the United States, advised the company.
