Preclinical Data of CeloNova's Cobra PzF NCS to be Presented at CRT 2018

February 28, 2018—CeloNova Biosciences, Inc. announced that preclinical data comparing the endothelial healing rates and quality of the company’s Cobra PzF nanocoated coronary stent (NCS) to current drug-eluting stents (DESs) will be presented at the Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT) meeting. The CRT meeting will be held in Washington, DC between March 3–6, 2018.

In addition, CeloNova stated that an update on COBRA REDUCE investigational device exemption trial will also be presented at CRT.

According to the company, the Cobra PzF NCS is coated polyzene-f, a highly biocompatible, elastic polymer that has demonstrated thromboresistant, anti-inflammatory, and rapid healing effects in preclinical studies. The stent is a new category of durable polymer DES designed to allow physicians to safely and effectively treat patients who may benefit from a minimum of 1-month dual antiplatelet therapy, advised CeloNova.
