Philips Announces United States Launch of HyperVue Integrated System
KEY TAKEAWAYS
- Philips announced the United States commercial availability of its HyperVue Integrated system for coronary imaging and physiology assessment.
- The fixed, single-room configuration integrates DeepOCT+NIRS imaging and X1-FFR physiology capabilities.
- The system features bedside touchscreen controls and is designed to reduce setup steps during PCI procedures.
November 3, 2026—Royal Philips announced the United States commercial availability of its HyperVue Integrated system, a fixed, single-room configuration of its HyperVue imaging system that combines DeepOCT+NIRS (optical coherence tomography and near-infrared spectroscopy) intravascular imaging with X1-FFR (fractional flow reserve) coronary physiology assessment. The system is designed to provide continuous access to these capabilities within the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
Unlike the mobile HyperVue imaging system, which must be moved into the procedure room and connected for each case, HyperVue Integrated is permanently installed in a dedicated interventional suite. According to Philips, the configuration is intended to reduce procedural setup steps and improve access to imaging and physiology during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
X1-FFR is an FDA-cleared, artificial intelligence–powered platform that derives FFR measurements from angiography without pharmacologic hyperemia. Philips stated that X1-FFR uses a single angiographic view to calculate FFR, compared with the two or three views required by other angiography-derived FFR solutions.
The integrated system also includes a table-mounted touchscreen for bedside control within the sterile field and an updated controller intended to simplify setup and operation.
“In a high-volume cath lab, imaging technology needs to be readily available, simple to operate, and easy to use at the point of care,” stated Richard Shlofmitz, MD, Chief of Cardiology at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center, Catholic Health, in Roslyn, New York, in the press release. “We were encouraged by the HyperVue technology and look forward to continuing our collaboration with Philips to explore how a more integrated workflow can support efficient, patient-focused care.”
Philips showcased HyperVue Integrated at TCT 2026, alongside its broader coronary imaging and physiology portfolio, including IntraSight Plus, its United States–available interventional guidance platform that combines intravascular ultrasound, instantaneous wave-free ratio/FFR physiology, coregistration, triregistration, and real-time device visualization. The platform is designed to support coronary disease assessment, treatment planning, device guidance, and procedural result verification during PCI.
