Philips and Imricor Launch Cardiac Interventional MR Lab Solution 

August 28, 2026—Royal Philips and Imricor Medical Systems announced the launch of an interventional MR (iMR) lab solution that combines Philips’ 1.5T MRI platform and Imricor’s portfolio of iMR systems and consumables. The solution creates a complete, connected environment for MR-guided cardiac intervention, stated the companies.

As noted in the press release, the first commercially available configuration includes Philips’ Cardiac MR Suite, featuring SmartHeart AI-powered cardiac planning and advanced cardiac imaging applications, alongside Imricor’s NorthStar iMR mapping and guidance system, Advantage-MR EP recorder/stimulator, and Vision-MR family of electrophysiology catheters. These combined technologies enable physicians to visualize cardiac anatomy and arrhythmia substrate, actively track catheters, perform electroanatomical mapping, assess lesion formation and evaluate treatment response throughout procedures within Philips’ 1.5T MR environment, stated the companies.

Furthermore, the solution is built on Philips’ BlueSeal helium-free MRI technology, reducing siting complexity and enabling installation closer to cardiology departments, and helping support adoption while establishing a scalable foundation for future iMR-guided procedures.

Philips and Imricor advised that the iMR lab solution is commercially available immediately in markets that recognize the CE Mark. Also, some configurations are available in the United States.

More Imricor configurations are expected to become available in the United States and additional markets, subject to regulatory clearances. The NorthStar and the Vision-MR diagnostic catheter are commercially available in the United States; other Imricor products are not yet cleared or approved for sale in the United States, noted the companies.

The iMR lab solution will be showcased in at the European Society of Cardiology’s ESC Congress 2026 in Munich, Germany, noted the press release.
