Mindray Medical Acquires Zonare Medical Systems

July 17, 2013—Mindray Medical International Limited (Shenzhen, China) announced that it has completed the acquisition of Zonare Medical Systems, Inc. (Mountain View, CA), pursuant to the terms of the definitive agreement announced on June 12, 2013. Founded in 1999, Zonare focuses on ultrasound technology for the high-end radiology market, including its Zone-Sonography technology.

Mindray stated that it plans to maintain Zonare's brand and existing operations under its current management team, which is led by Timothy A. Marcotte, Zonare's President and Chief Executive Officer. Zonare was acquired by Mindray for a total purchase price of $101.7 million in cash.
