Merit Medical Launches PreludeSync Evo Radial Compression Device

August 28, 2019—Merit Medical Systems, Inc. announced the United States commercial launch of its PreludeSync Evo radial compression device. Merit Medical devices are used primarily in cardiology, radiology, oncology, and endoscopy.

PreludeSync Evo is a sterile, single-use, disposable device used to assist in gaining hemostasis of the arterial percutaneous access site after catheterization procedures.

According to the company, the PreludeSync Evo device was designed to provide operators with improved clarity, safety, and patient comfort. The device features a clear balloon and curved backer plate that provide optimal visualization of the puncture site, thereby facilitating easy placement. The easily adjustable band that fits securely around a patient’s wrist is available in two sizes (24 cm and 29 cm). The device also features the company's new Slip-n-Lock Connection for safe and easy inflation and deflation.
