Gore to Acquire Conformal Medical

January 5, 2026—Gore & Associates announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Conformal Medical, Inc., which is developing the investigational CLAAS AcuForm system, a left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) device.

The acquisition advances Gore’s expansion into adjacent endovascular treatments and is expected to close in early 2026, subject to regulatory approval, advised the company.

As noted in the press release, the Conformal CLAAS AcuForm system is currently in clinical testing and not available for commercial use. The device features a nitinol endoskeleton with a Conformal’s foam matrix implant and is designed to conform to a broad range of left atrial appendage anatomies with fewer sizes, noted Gore.
