GE Healthcare Launches Innova 2100-IQ Imaging System

August 17, 2011—GE Healthcare (Waukesha, WI) announced the introduction of the Innova 2100-IQ (Optima edition) interventional cardiology imaging system. Based on the company's Innova platform, the new configuration provides imaging quality and dose efficiency at a lower price point and total cost of ownership.

According to the company, the Innova 2100-IQ system is designed to perform as a reliable, easy-to-use workhorse that can help to streamline procedures such as coronary angiography and stenting. The system features a 20- X 20-cm flat-panel detector, and its compact, floor-mounted, three-axis gantry allows excellent patient access and can easily reach different positions as needed during procedures. Built on GE Healthcare's interventional x-ray system technology, the new Innova uses detective quantum efficiency to reduce dose exposure to patients and staff.

Clinicians can easily obtain fluoro acquisitions (unsubtracted, roadmap, and subtracted) at 30 fps, 15 fps, and 7.5 fps. They can also create a vascular roadmap to better visualize complex anatomy in fluoro mode. Stenosis analysis and left ventricle analysis are also available, the company stated.
