Esaote North America to Market 3mensio Structural Heart Planning Software to TAVR Centers

February 4, 2014—Esaote North America (Indianapolis, IN) announced the broad launch of 3mensio Structural Heart software in the United States and Canada to provide interventional cardiologists and radiologists with cardiovascular planning solutions to treat patients with valvular heart disease.

According to the company, 3mensio Structural Heart is visualization and measurement software for the planning of complex interventional cardiac procedures. The system provides a comprehensive, easy-to-use set of planning tools to help assess patient anatomy and plan appropriate treatment approaches.

The company advised that 3mensio Structural Heart is used in major ongoing clinical trials in North America, as well as by medical research institutes and major medical device and equipment vendors. It is now being marketed directly to centers and physicians performing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures via the company's newly established sales force across the United States and Canada.

Pie Medical Imaging BV (Maastricht, the Netherlands) manufactures the 3mensio software. Both Pie Medical Imaging and 3mensio Medical Imaging BV (Bilthoven, the Netherlands) are part of the global corporation Esaote SpA (Genoa, Italy).
