CHF Solutions Expands European Distribution to Italy

April 17, 2018—CHF Solutions, Inc. announced further expansion into the European markets with the initiation of a new distribution agreement with TRX Italy, SrI, to distribute the company’s Aquadex FlexFlow system in Italy.

CHF Solutions is commercializing the Aquadex FlexFlow system for its Aquapheresis therapy. The Aquadex FlexFlow system is indicated for temporary (≤ 8 hours) ultrafiltration treatment of patients with fluid overload who have failed diuretic therapy and for extended (> 8 hours) ultrafiltration treatment of patients with fluid overload who have failed diuretic therapy and require hospitalization. All treatments must be administered by a health care provider, under physician prescription, both having undergone training in extracorporeal therapies.

The company noted that the World Health Organization found that there are more than twice as many acute decompensated heart failure patients in Western Europe than in the United States as result of a larger and older population base, along with higher smoking patterns.
