Canon Medical’s Aplio Flex and Aplio Go Ultrasound Systems Introduced in Europe

July 10, 2023—Canon Medical Systems Europe BV announced the commercial availability in Europe of the Aplio Flex and Aplio Go ultrasound systems, which are designed to be compact, maneuverable, and technologically advanced to meet challenges faced by medical staff, including high workload and work-related musculoskeletal disorders, stated Canon.

According to the company’s press release, the systems integrate artificial intelligence (AI) to minimize examination time and complexity and prioritize energy efficiency. For example, the systems’ Auto IMT can automatically trace the intima-media thickness of the common carotid artery in any area in a shorter time than in the past. Similarly, Auto EF with GLS—Global Longitudinal Strain—was developed using AI algorithm technology. These new AI technologies are powered by Canon’s Altivity approach.

Additionally, the redesigned control panels of Aplio Flex and Aplio Go are intended to ensure efficient and intuitive operation. The panels simplify direct operation, thereby promoting ease of use and productivity.

Finally, both Aplio Flex and Aplio Go are equipped with Canon’s ApliGate technology, which enhances collaboration by remotely sharing images, enabling users to directly connect with fellow professionals or Canon experts, noted the company.
