Biotronik to Distribute Texray’s Radiation Protection Products

April 22, 2024—Biotronik announced a multinational distribution partnership with Texray, a developer of a radiation protection textile. Biotronik will distribute Texray’s head and neck protectors starting in selected European and Middle Eastern countries.

According to Biotronik, Texray offers two radiation-protective products: HeadPeace and MindPeace. HeadPeace is a comfortable headband that reduces radiation in the upper section of the head. MindPeace is a thyroid collar with an extended panel to reduce radiation in the lower and middle section of the head. Combined, these products reduce radiation dose to the neck and head by up to 97% compared to using only a standard thyroid collar, noted the press release.

Biotronik stated that Texray’s textile platform technology allows for functional and comfortable radiation protection products. The garments enhance ergonomic parameters and exhibit improved durability compared to the traditional “rubber-sheet” garments.
