BioTelemetry Will Provide Cardiac Monitoring for Apple's Heart Study

November 30, 2017—BioTelemetry, Inc. announced a partnership with Apple to provide cardiac monitoring services in conjunction with the Apple Heart Study, which is expected to discover undiagnosed irregular heart rhythms, such as atrial fibrillation, using the Apple Watch and the dedicated Apple Heart Study app. The study was launched on November 30.

According to the company, the first indication of a cardiac arrhythmia is too often the occurrence of a life-threatening event. The Apple initiative will potentially benefit patients who are unaware that they may be at risk for serious health issues. BioTelemetry is a mobile and wireless medical technology company focused on the delivery of health information to improve quality of life and reduce cost of care.
