Alvimedica’s Alvision Kaplan Curves Radial Portfolio Receives CE Mark Approval

July 5, 2023—Alvimedica announced CE Mark approval and the commercial launch of the Alvision Kaplan curves radial portfolio for diagnostic procedures.

According to the company, the transradial approach offers reduced adverse events and earlier mobilization for the patients when compared to the transfemoral approach.

Alvimedica’s Alvision catheter technologies are designed to meet the structural and functional requirements needed to address the mechanical catheter challenges in a transradial approach. The Alvision catheters embed a flat-wire section braiding for torque response and catheter stability. With the new Kaplan curves radial family, Alvimedica has further enlarged its Alvision diagnostic catheter portfolio, noted the company.

In its press release, Alvimedica stated that Kaplan curves aim to address any coronary artery position into the aortic bulb, as well as superior, lateral, or inferior coronary take-off to ease any coronary artery angiography that can highlight issues made visible through a diagnostic procedure.
