Adept Medical Launches Adducted Arm Scoop for Imaging Tables 

April 19, 2023—Adept Medical has announced the launch of the Adducted Arm Scoop, a solution for supporting the adducted arms of supine patients during image-guided procedures. The Adducted Arm Scoop is designed for use with existing lab and imaging equipment. It is compatible with any MR, CT, or C-arm imaging tables, stated the company.

According to Adept Medical, the Adducted Arm Scoop is purpose-designed to provide security and comfort on narrow imaging tables. The support is moulded with curved edging to reduce the likelihood of pressure injury and improve handling. The ergonomic design allows patients to comfortably rest their arms at their side with assurance. The height—extending just above the arm—allows access and ease of cable and line management during procedures. The Adducted Arm Scoop is installed simply by sliding it under the mattress. It is secured by the patient’s weight, noted the company.
