Abbott Completes Acquisition of CSI

April 27, 2023—Abbott announced it has completed the acquisition of Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. (CSI), whose atherectomy system is used in treating peripheral and coronary artery disease to prepare vessels for angioplasty or stenting. The transaction provides Abbott with a complementary solution for treating vascular disease.

The company stated that pursuant to the terms of the merger agreement, CSI became a wholly owned subsidiary of Abbott upon completion of the acquisition. April 27 was the last day of trading of CSI shares on the Nasdaq stock market. The acquisition was first announced on February 8, 2023.
