Occlutech's PmVSD Occluder Obtains CE Mark Approval

April 11, 2017—Occlutech recently announced that it has obtained European CE Mark approval for its perimembranous ventricular septal defect (PmVSD) occluder. Occlutech's PmVSD occluder consists of a flexible nitinol wire mesh with shape-memory properties. The device is specifically designed and indicated for the minimally invasive closure of PmVSDs, which represent 70% to 80% of all VSDs, noted Occlutech.
