Adept Medical Launches the Overhead Arm Support Device

March 7, 2019—Adept Medical, a New Zealand–based company, announced the launch of its Overhead Arm Support device, which is designed to comfortably support patient’s arms during diagnostic and interventional procedures. The Overhead Arm Support will be available from Adept Medical beginning April 1, 2019.

According to the company, the device eliminates extreme shoulder flexion, allows abdominal access, and removes unwanted artifacts when imaging with C-arm or CT machines. The wing design can support one or both arms and will accommodate a wide range of patient sizes. The Overhead Arm Support device facilitates improved patient comfort, procedural outcome, and repeatability.

Designed for use with existing lab and imaging equipment, the Overhead Arm Support wings have been engineered to fit inside the bore of standard CT machines and can be used with any C-arm imaging center, noted Adept Medical.
