Stentys Expands Commercialization of Xposition S Self-Apposing Stent in Mexico

August 29, 2018—Stentys, which is commercializing its Xposition S sirolimus-eluting self-apposing coronary stent, announced the launch of the device in Mexico through a partnership with Levbeth Medical, a company specialized in the distribution of medical equipment for endovascular procedures. Xposition S is designed to adapt to vessels with variable diameters and enables the treatment of complex arterial disorders.

In August, Neisser Morales, MD, and Mizraym Rojas, MD, performed the first procedure in Mexico with the first Xposition S device at ISSSTE Lopez Mateos Hospital in Mexico City, with support from Omar Santaera, MD, Sanatorium Las Lomas in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Stentys intends to extend the commercialization of the Xposition S stent's range to other countries in Latin America by leveraging the distribution network established by MinVasys, which Stentys acquired in April.
